Are billboards a problem in Custer?

Rapid City voters by a 2-1 margin last Tuesday, June 7, banned additional digital billboard sites in the city and limited the size and spacing of existing billboards. Custer does have at least one digital sign in the city and none in the county. The city does have a number of billboards in the city limits and just outside the city limits. Do you think these billboards are helpful to visitors or are they an eyesore that needs to be more tightly controlled?
